I love comparing these two different scenes because I feel like it highlights some character growth for both Pepa and Julieta.
At first Julieta is more passive, she asks her mother to be nice to Mirabel. Later, she’s more assertive, she’s stating for a fact that her mother is too hard on Mirabel.
And Pepa, when her weather is pointed out by her mother near the beginning, she only just says “I know”, but later on she defends herself and the way that she actually is trying so hard to control it.
