It’s true, but it’s also important to clarify that “mole” isn’t an animal group, but an animal lifestyle. That photo is if a golden mole, which is completely unrelated to the animal most people just know as a “mole:”
Theres also the marsupial mole, which is as the name implies more related to wombats and koalas than to either of those moles:
This is just what living in dirt does to mammals, like how identical needs shaped dolphins, sharks, and the extinct icthyosaurs!
