Third World Boys: “Hundreds of us are murdered but all anyone even talks about is the girls who are kidnapped, so even people who don’t like feminism still think we need feminism.”

Third World Boys: “We make up possibly more than half of all sexually exploited children but we’ll never know for sure because no one cares and all the studies are about girls, so even people who don’t like feminism still think we need feminism.”

Third World Boys: “We live our lives in slave labor and in inhuman conditions but all anyone ever hears about is the much smaller percentage of girls in sweat shops, so even people who don’t like feminism still think we need feminism.”

THIS IS WHAT I MEAN WHEN I SAY FEMINISM NEEDS TO STAY THE FUCK OUT OF NON WESTERN COUNTRIES

Do we really fucking need MORE boys to be ignored?

Can I get sources?

2: The studies are about girls, so we only have estimations. But there have been documented instances of adults exploiting male children and also men getting raped

Demographics

The demographics of the population in Bangladesh can also be a predictor of child labour incidence rates. Children in rural areas are more likely to work than children in urban areas.[7] This may be due to the agricultural history of Bangladesh and the tradition of children working alongside adults in the fields.[5] However, in both rural and urban settings, boys are more likely to work than girls, with the majority of child workers falling in the age range of 12-14.

I can’t open the research paper you have to pay for it.

Also, you get harsher punishments for kidnapping female children for child labour.

Currently, Afghanistan does not have a legal definition of trafficking or any laws specifically
prohibiting human trafficking. Traffickers of children can be prosecuted under laws against
kidnapping, rape, forced labor, the transportation of minors, and child endangerment.95
According to Article 420 of the Afghan Penal Code, persons convicted of kidnapping a child
under age 18 can receive up to 7 years in prison. The maximum sentence is extended to 10 years
if the child is female.

Boys are worth three years less than girls. I don’t think feminists would give a single fuck about that.

Sorry this took so long, a lot of the data is in very long papers.

My favorite table handled the sources like a champ.

I’ll just add some more information on the sex trafficking. While people aren’t as aware of the murder

and slave labor

of boys, they aren’t typically resistant to the idea. The possibility that boys may, in fact, equal or outnumber girls as sexually exploited children tends to make people incredulous though.

Male Sex Trafficking

Action Pour Les Enfants [APLE] addresses the myth directly in their FAQ: “In cases APLE has worked on, 52% of victims are male.”

Human Trafficking Center: “…men and boys are subjected to commercial sexual exploitation in many countries around the world, and they even outnumber female victims within certain subcategories of trafficking.“

US State Department: “The sex trafficking of boys is often hidden… far too many look primarily for female victims and often miss male victims…

Human Trafficking Search: “…a report by the Salvation Army stated that 41 percent of human trafficking victims in the United Kingdom were men.”

JJIE: “According to a 2008 study by the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, in fact, boys comprised about 50 percent of  sexually exploited children in a sample study done in New York, with most being domestic victims.”

ECPAT-USA’s 2013 report “And Boys Too” found only two studies to estimate the high number of sexually exploited boys including the John Jay report above.. and the other study doesn’t actually provide a specific percentage.

Per ECPAT-USA:

“The
little attention paid to boys has focused on them as exploiters, pimps and buyers of sexual services or as active
participants in sex work—not as victims or survivors. Most service providers who were interviewed for this
report in 2010-11, acknowledge the existence of [sexually exploited boys] yet only provide services to

[sexually exploited girls]

or are unwilling or
unable to help boys.”

these stats are very important
