So here’s the thing. Uromastyx, and most lizard species, do not have a diaphragm, which means they do not have the muscle structure to adequately be able to breath without gravity helping.
So those little arm flails? That’s because she cant get enough air. They have literally trained this uro to go upside down and have a hard time breathing, just for a type of petting she could have gotten other ways.
You know how many people are likely doing this to their lizards now, not knowing that their lizard’s flailing is actually them being unable to breathe? I don’t want to think about it.
