Occasionally I’m reminded of that story a few years back from Africa where this guy lost his wife to a crocodile attack so he went to the village blacksmith and told him to make a spear that could kill a crocodile, and when the croc that killed his wife came back he killed it with that same spear.
some of you might not know this absolute beast of a man so let me fill you in
this is Mubarak Batambuze, and in 2015 his wife Demeteriya Nabire was snatched from the waters side by a crocodile and was never seen again. She was pregnant at the time, and Mubarak fell into a deep state of depression after the revelation that he had lost his entire future in just a few minutes. Then, nearly a month later, someone from the local village told him that the crocodile had returned.
Mubarak went to the blacksmith of the village and asked him to make a spear that was worthy of killing a crocodile. The locals begged him not to kill the croc, as they were worried that he would be killed as well but he ignored them. “I’m not bothered if I die killing this beast. I’m going to take it on with this spear, and I will make sure that it dies.” He told them. With the help of others who threw stones at the animal, he killed the four meter long, six hundred kilogram monster with the spear. Although he never fully recovered from the loss of his wife and unborn child, people in the village praised him as a hero who killed a maneater.
