lpbestiary:

In Welsh and Breton mythology, morgens are a type of water sprite said to drown men. They are stunningly beautiful, and live in grand gardens and golden buildings beneath the water.

Morgens sit in the water and seductively comb their hair, luring in young men. They are also blamed in some areas for flooding that damages crops or buildings. Some believe Morgan le Fay, of Arthurian legend, is connected to the morgens.
