The Kikiyaon is a cryptid from West Africa. Said to resemble mix between a large owl and a person, it is one of the least understood must most feared creatures on the continent.
Known as the “soul cannibal,” the Bambara people claim that its cry can often be heard in dark forests. It will ambush travellers, but is able to move into the dream realm where it can chase people who are sleeping. However, The Kikiyan is more easily outrun in this sphere.
