Some thoughts on so-called “Thin Privilege”
Let’s face facts people, if you live in a part of the world where you have access to excess food & are in the financial position to eat yourself into Obesity; while children are literally starving to death elsewhere on the planet, YOU have the “Privilege”. Denying this is ridiculous.
Stop making excuses, stop blaming everyone else for your greed and sloth and stop claiming that you are “oppressed” or that fat-shaming is equivalent to racism, sexism, or homophobia.
No one is born Obese, no one has a skeleton that is built to carry 200lbs+ of excess fat, and there are no excuses. Put the fork down and stop gorging yourself. Learn the difference between being satisfied and being jam-packed with food. Don’t feel obligated to finish everything on your plate. You’d be surprised at how quickly there will be an improvement. Everything in Moderation, remember?
As for the so-called “Thin Privilege” that fat people claim exists, it’s really just another way of saying “I’m jealous of slim, fit, healthy people but would rather whine about them “oppressing” me than face the fact that my Morbid Obesity is my own damn fault, and I am the person responsible for destroying my body & health”
I would like to think that one person reading this will make the effort for themselves; alas, it’s so much easier to blame everyone else for your problems though, isn’t that right?
