“Being pregnant isn’t feminine, it’s tough and brave”
How many transgender people are operating on a straw man stereotype of 1950s gender stereotypes? Who told Bennett that being tough and brave meant being a man, and whatever other lies, to the point where she felt she wasn’t really a woman?
This is just sad. It reminds me of how, even in cartoon shows, if a girl wants to be taken seriously, she has to be a tomboy or have boyish traits. It’s like girly girls can’t be taken seriously, and should be pushed aside as “dumb” or “weak”. It’s even sadder and ironic when groups who claim to support women buy into this line of thinking.
What a world we live in….
