Every BBRae moment is a top moment if I’m being honest.
Okay. Fine.
I’ll try and…narrow it down.
Definitely the hug in Spellbound. I mean, this was the pivotal moment. This is what had me shipping them. Just the way Raven grabs him, the look on her face, that sadness and all-consuming lonliness. It’s such a palpable, emotional moment between them, especially for Raven.
Nevermore I’ve also listed as a fave, and it’s really got tons of cute scenes. Of course, the best one was when BB and Rae mend their relationship, realize they’re friends, and that they’re both just really insecure. Raven gives Gar a smile and a blush, and it’s just…stupidly cute. Not to mention, her Happy emoticlone confessing to thinking he’s hilarious.
THE HUG. Say what you will, but Rae tolerates the tight squeeze, and Gar’s just so grateful she’s okay and she’s herself again. It’s a cute moment. 🙂 Not as sweet as when she hugs Robin here, but still an adorable BBRae moment.
I’ve probably said it before, but those subtle moments? The small things? Yeah. Those are what do it for me. Gar’s hand on her shoulder after Fear Itself is just…it’s so tender, unspoken, but sweet? Like just fuck me up. I was a wreck when I noticed this stupid small scene.
The moment after they meet and Gar actually manages to make her laugh with a silly sarcastic jibe! Raven smiling and saying she finds him funny, and it meaning the world to him (and also setting up the dynamic where he’s always trying to get her to laugh; notice how serious he was before this scene? I did).
What kind of BBRae fan would I be if I didn’t showcase the kiss? Self-explanatory. Probably the top one, if I’m being honest.
Yeah…you all know why I love this one, too.
Listen. BBRae kisses make me a sucker. I regret nothing.
The confession? Uhm, hell yes?
Last but not least is this moment; probably the first hints that these two were being set-up for something. I love it when Gar comforts Raven; he doesn’t even say anything. He just lets her talk and then he embraces her, and it’s…so sweet? Ugh.
This was hard.
Honourable mention:
Garfield being Raven’s moral support during her arc, and Raven saving HIM. Have I mentioned I LOVE the gender role reversal between my OTPs? Because, yeah…He’s the definition of the ‘you’re doing great, sweetie’ meme, and I’m such a sucker for it.
