I’m gonna post stories like this that I come across because I think we give “victims” too much. We need to look at both sides of the story. Not just one. 

this is a good article and it is also told from the guy’s current fiancee, who has seen how this false accusation caused so many problems.

It’s good to get this side of things. I feel that we don’t often hear about the aftermath of a false accusation. 

I have to agree. These kind of stories shows why we should do our due diligence.

And why neutral justice is important

This is why we need Rape Shield Law reform in a very big way. In a rape case, the woman’s identity is kept secret while the man’s identity is plastered all over the fucking presses, opening him up to the court of public opinion and vigilante violence. The best thing to do would be to keep the names of both parties secret until a verdict is reached, because given the choice between a man and a woman the incredibly vast majority of people are going to choose the woman. 

Which pisses me off. Someone I love was falsely accused.. I’m just glad that he was found innocent from the get go and name was never put in a any paper or anything. That’s all I’m saying on that.
