Biological sex is a social construct by the way. Trans men are men with a man’s body. Trans women are women with a woman’s body. Non-binary people are non-binary with non-binary bodies.

THIS IS ENTIRELY TRUE. ok so i am a trans woman but i am also a biologist and the thing about how humans conceive sex is its totally constructed. transphobes try to bring science into it but science is entirely against them. the fact is, in biology sex is defined exclusively by production of gametes (in humans, sperm and egg). THATS IT. when humans discuss biological sex, we tend to be talking about genitalia, hormones, secondary sex characteristics, etc., and while there is a correlation between all these things, that correlation is statistical, not inherent. Those traits are housed on different genes, and the point of sexual reproduction is that it brings genetic variation, and intersex people are the proof that biology works in a way that often (as in, hundreds of thousands or even millions of individuals) breaks that correlation. And people always respond to that with “oh but intersex people are flukes” but that shows a basic misunderstanding of biology, evolution is not a striated path but a constant process and flukes are the MECHANISM BY WHICH EVOLUTION WORKS. there is no such thing as a wrong mutation, mutation is random and sometimes increases and sometimes decreases fitness, but the fact is that the way we conceive of biological sex in heteronormal society has NOTHING to do with science. the traits we equate with “biological sex”, like genitals and secondary sex characteristics are not actually connected to the scientific concept of sex by anything but probability, and how humans in western society generally conceive of biosex is not based in science but actually in social constructions that were entirely caused by a LACK OF UNDERSTANDING OF SCIENCE. basically what I’m saying is if you think trans people are lying, fine, but don’t try to bring science into it, its against you and you’re running out of excuses to be a dick.

NOOO….. Genetic mutations filtered through natural selection are the mechanisms by which evolution works. People are born without limbs, with extra toes, with webbed toes, with stone like skin, but those are not advantageous traits so they’re weeded out and don’t procreate enough to be evolutionarily survivable. They will continue to pop up, but they will never populate enough to create their own evolutionary path.

Except for the fact that genitals, which produce the gametes also produce hormones which affect all those things. And how DNA is what determines which genitals you have and being that humans are a sexually dimorphic species the DNA of males and females does differ. Which again this is hilarious because your argument is literally that because males and females have variation and aren’t carbon copies of each other then male and female sex are social constructs when you admit that reproduction inherently produces variation. First off, work on your damn English. Second they got it exactly right. Females=eggs males=sperm. That’s it, two aspects necessary to reproduction. That makes sex binary, and since gender is based on sex it is also binary.

First of all, the end goal of evolution is to be able to procreate and create a stronger version of your species. Being born without the ability to procreate is not biologically advantageous. Natural selection would never allow for a large population of intersex people. It wouldn’t make any sense.
