reverse-rain:

people need to stop this before is too late next year. I don’t want to see the people on on tumblr complaining about the playmobil movie before is even released. I don’t want it to fail just because people think that is bad or a knock-off of the lego movie. I’ve seen people throwing dirt at it since the first teaser picture was posted online. Someone complained directly at the movie director about Marla for being the only girl and for not having any poc character. This just at one (1) teaser pic. That was the most rudest thing I’ve ever seen. Then, weeks ago, when the first taeaser trailer dropped, all I saw in the comments were “this is a discount lego movie” or “this is a lego movie knock-off” or “at least look better than the emoji movie” (EVERY OTHER MOVIE IS BETTER THAN THAT ONE)
Last night I saw something the bugged me so much that made me to write this. Someone used some screenshots from the playmobil teaser and confronted it to the lego one because they share some “similar settings”. The Old West one (and we don’t even know in what context the playmobil movie is going to present it, but who care, right?), Cloud Cuckoo Land compared to what I suppose is the Fairy World (that was shown for few seconds), and the live action scene.
Goodness forbid to movies based on toys to use some live action scenes (that in the lego one was a surprise, in the playmobil movie not since it was publically announced) or to feature a setting that is pretty popular (everyone love the old west and the saloons, don’t say no. And the the fairy theme in the playmobil toys is pretty popular and also very pretty to look at)

All this hatred toward something that haven’t aired yet is really pissing me off. REALLY REALLY. And is not a problem only toward the playmobil movie, is something that ALWAYS happens with everything new. We need to stop that. WE REALLY NEED TO STOP TO HATE SOMETHING THAT WE HAVEN’T SEEN YET.
