“Normalising paedophilia helps protect children and prevent child abuse”
…
I know, right? Just like normalising abortion helped reduce abortions!
Or how the normalisation of stoning raped women and homosexuals in Muslim countries has led to less honour killings! Right?
[/s]
This probably comes from one of the same sexual liberals who say things like “Christian belief should be marginalised because it leads to the oppression of LGBT folks”. Along with the initial cringe, let the hypocrisy sink in as well.
@anscathmarcach Are you still sure that there’s any hope left in the world?
i can’t stand this much longer. it’s one thing to be angry about certain folk on the sex offender registry, such as people who pee’d behind a bush near a park, or someone who had sex as a teenager with another teen, or even prostitution when a lot of those women are victims as well as people who have committed a crime, but this?
no, normalizing pedophilia is not and never is ok. it won’t protect or prevent children of abuse. it IS abuse. blatantly so as well. talk about backing the wrong horse here. if you support MAPS, you seriously need to reevaluate your life, and im not just saying this to stand on some morale high ground either – i am saying this because you are allowing yourself to think that something as horrible as seeking minors for sex is ok. even after there are BLATANT studies of both physical and mental complications pertaining to it, it’s like lets ignore all that because someone has a sexual preference to children.
Exactly.
It is alarming, though, how this idea that paedophilia should be normalised seems to be gaining ground among some liberal circles, often with the very same arguments that were used to normalise homosexuality, like “it’s just an orientation”, “they’re born that way so it’s OK”, “you shouldn’t care what two consenting people do in their bedroom”. And recently we also reached the point of “the only reason for opposition to paedophilia is religious bigotry”.
People kept warning us. They knew that the unrestrained sexual “ethic” of today would bring us to this point. But to the sexual liberals, it was all just a “slippery slope fallacy”.
And now we’re here.
Interestingly, I believe this is another case of what has been dubbed the Law of Merited Impossibility: “It will never happen, but when it does, you bigots will deserve it”. To argue other cases where this applies would be beside the point, and some of them you know already.
Of course, and thankfully so, we haven’t yet reached the point where people refusing to celebrate paedophilia are punished (as it has happened with gay marriage), and even most liberals seem to be still opposed to the practice. But if we don’t realise that this slippery slope IS real, I’m afraid that point will be reached as well, all under the banner of “equality” and “tolerance”.
P.S.: Isn’t it very interesting that these seeds for the normalisation of paedophilia are conveniently sown now that the child abuse scandals in elite circles are exposed en masse?
