history repeats itself. In 50+ years, you’re going to be on the wrong side of history. Racism, homophobia, it’s all going out of fashion. It’s becoming just as socially unacceptable to be openly homophobic as it is to be openly racist. Christian churches are starting to accept homosexual lifestyles because that’s the direction the world is going with, and if they’re still spouting some crotchety, gay-hating agenda, they will become obsolete and unsavory to later generations.
I’m not saying there aren’t racist and homophobes. It’s anything but dead in this country. But society is more or less dictated by a social norm, and hating gays and race/religion/sexuality-based discrimination are going out of style. If you think churches wont turn with the tides of change (which they already have begun doing) to keep ensuring they get that 10% of everyone’s paycheck they’ve reserved for jesus then idk what to tell you.
I’m not sure why people like you think that society has gotten anywhere by not progressing, by not being at least a bit liberal. All throughout history we’ve been moving forward, forward away from societies that are in their roots sexist, racist, and homophobic. human progress doesn’t happen on the backs of snivelling homophobes who wake up, crack their knuckles, and sit down on tumblr thinking how they’re really gonna show it to those damn liberals today. it doesn’t happen on the backs of warped “liberal” extremists who are one step away from being Nazis. it doesn’t result from people who are so wrapped up in their political ideologies and propaganda that they won’t breath the same air as a gay person.
you think your opinions really matter when the world is going to keep turning no matter what you say? I don’t mean to be rude, because mine don’t either. the world is changing and history is too. I just want to be on the right side of things. The side where in 20 years I wont be ashamed to face my kids and tell them I was a hateful bigot. gay relationships are on the TV and in the U.S. constitution. around the world people are embracing their loved ones no matter their gender and people are REJOICING. There are people who are angry, who are up in arms and people who share the same hatred who are slaughtering and creating violence all because they think a man can’t love a man because an ancient text that’s been translated over and over again and held by tyrants with self-serving political agendas implied that it might be not ok (like twice, one of which was in the old covenant and became obsolete to Christians when Jesus died on the cross, whereas the messages to love and not judge are much more frequent in the same text).
but yeah, honestly keep hating gay people. keep pretending gays are the ones committing “genocides” against you poor slighted bigots. there are liberals who are just as hateful and blind as you, but I, personally, just want to leave this world better and more accepting towards everyone that the way I found it.

1.) You appeal to a civil rights movement, geared towards racial equality, that was SUPPORTED STRONGLY by biblical teaching. The fact that the bible strongly upholds racial equality actually does not help you. In this case the bible is quite clear that certain types of sex are sin. You are not going to be able to change that. Because you are not going to be able to change that, it is a belief that will continue in vast numbers of people.
2.) You rely upon lies. I don’t hate gay people. I want them to go to heaven. If I hated gay people, I would let them sin away so they DON’T go to heaven. Your accusation of hate is so completely nonsensical that it utterly reveals that the ACTUAL hate lies in YOUR heart. You are a Christophobe, and anti-christian bigot, a hater. If your opinions were so deliciously palatable, you wouldn’t have to falsely accuse other people of hate in order to get other people onto your side.
3.) You rely upon oppressive government action that violates the religious beliefs of others. Again, if your opinion was so deliciously palatable, you would need have to go running to Obama and his elitist government bullies to FORCE people to do things your way. Yet that is what you rely on, government FORCE.
4.) You speak for the incorrect assumption that GOD does not exist. You aren’t just fighting human opinion, you are warring against God’s capabilities as well. This is actually the #1 reason why people like me will not die out. Oh yes, we will reduce in numbers. See, our bible has predicted that, and it has predicted the hate and persecution you will have to utilize (you’ve already started) to try to reduce our numbers. But in the end, God gets to weigh in on the hearts and minds of human beings, and there is nothing you can do about that.
So keep it up, keep trying to use Big Brother to FORCE me to participate in gay weddings. In 20 years, your Christian children will be turning on YOU.
