Its always a bit annoying to me when someone I follow posts or reblogs something that calls Christianity hypocritical. Don’t denounce my entire religion just because you’ve ha a bad experience with someone who may not actually upload true Christianity in the first place.

And by the way, Christianity is so much more than a list of do’s and don’ts. Its about having a relationship with Christ, and through Christ, having a relationship with God.

And Christians don’t pick and choose which rules from the Bible to follow either. Because we actually take time to study the Word and listen to good pastors and teachers, we actually know and understand which Scriptures were written in context with the times they were living in and which ones remain steadfast even today. THE OLD TESTAMENT IS NOT COMPLETELY OUTDATED SO STOP SAYING THAT IT IS!!!

It doesnt matter how much I like you or your blog, if you post or reblog something ignorant and negative about Christianity I will automatically unfollow and block you because I refuse to have that kind of slander on my dash.

The fact is, SOME of the Old Testament doesn’t apply.

God’s portion, his nation, was Israel.  He made laws for Israel to follow.  At no point in the OT Does God say that those laws are for ALL mankind.

So to know what portions of the law apply to gentiles, we need to go to the NT.  Acts chapter 15 is a section I often point to concerning this, but there is also discussion in the book of Romans.  The point is, parts of the old law simply do not apply to gentiles, like dietary law and wearing mixed fabrics.
