Can I rant about how much I adore this shot of Bruno?
The man hasn’t seen his family for more than 10+ years and the one family member he hasn’t even met in person is the one comforting him when he’s clearly nervous about something.
And props for Antonio too for being so welcoming to his uncle who he doesn’t know anything about(well as far as we know)
I mean just look at Bruno’s face! You cannot tell me he’s not thinking how much he loves his family, especially the nephew he’s only seen through the cracks of the walls.
Also small headcanon: I feel like Antonio would let Bruno borrow(or maybe even give) his stuffed jaguar to help him with his nerves💕
Bruno wouldn’t necessarily have gotten a lot of pressure to get married, especially once his sisters did and there were a couple of grandkids. There’s a place in Catholicism for single people who serve the community. People who really feel that call should presumably go be a priest or a nun or monk, but that’s not always possible … and being a literal prophet is probably an acceptable alternative. And it would be a help to the family to have an adult who is not distracted by their own courtship/family and can be backup for whatever’s necessary. Â
If you’re writing period-appropriate attitudes, ace/aro Bruno would get a surprising lack of shit.Â
