My Mom converted to Islam when I was four, and then when I was twelve or thirteen I can’t remember exactly the Imam and some of the brothers in the Mosque went to the trouble of pressuring me to take on Islam as an “adult”.
I felt like there was no choice but to acquiesce, so I did. A couple of years later I repudiated Islam, and all organized religion, so, as far as I know, I am considered an apostate by Muslim legal scholars.
If a confused and insecure child of thirteen can make decisions regarding your religion that doom him to having a penalty of death placed upon his head your religion is bad and wrong.

WANT to be oppressed???? are you fucking kidding me right now??? you are a literal scumbag. Ex muslims live their fucking lives in fear of being killed or disowned, we live double lives. Do you have any idea what that feels like, do you have any idea the agony we go through? Do you know how many of us want to die because everyday is just a struggle? Do you know what its like to be living in an extremely controlling and toxic environment, being FORCED to follow stuff, being forced to cover up, being forced to learn about islam, not being allowed to go outside, being forced to starve ourselves in ramadan, being forced to pray?? our lives are filled with helplessness and agony and pain and frustration. We’ve grown up being manipulated and indoctrinated, and filled with fear, coerced into this religion. And if we do leave and run off, we will have zero support emotionally, we’ll be alone and without a family forever. we’ll also have no financial support and be on our own, which is something extremely tough in this day and age. therefore we risk homelessness and just a tougher, struggle filled life. And we are gonna be scarred for the rest of our lives, growing up being manipulated. And thats for the people who can leave, imagine those living in muslim countries, where women are minors under the law for life, and belong to a man, where apostasy is punishable by death? Do you realize what the fuck you’re even talking about here? This is a serious ass matter here, its not some petty ass thing that we cry about. we hide underneath blogs, to express our pain, to express our voices that are shut in, bc thats the only way we can, and you’re saying this shit is funny? People being killed, forced to follow religion, risk disownmemt and serious abuse is funny to you?? If so you are a terrible excuse of a human being. do you know how many of us have no control over our lives and just live like we’re in some fascist state or something? thats literally what oppression is. having no free will, and having severe risks if you try to stand up for yourself.
Imagine this, you live in a christian country where not being christian can get you killed, outcasted from the community, and basically leave you abandoned with no support of any kind, be it emotional or financial. You are forced to go to church every sunday and sit there and pray. you are forced to go to bible study classes. you are forced to live like a christian, which means giving up anything that goes against it. which can be the smallest thing, like eating shrimp, or a big thing, like being gay. doesnt sound too great, does it? Your disgustingly ignorant it’s unbelievable. On top of everything us ex Muslims go through, and then there’s people like you who overlook our suffering as some attention seeking act. Fuck you.
