California will run out of water very soon.
According to NASA’s new report, California only has enough water to get it through the next year. People are under strict water-saving measures; farmers are struggling to keep their crops alive.
Yet, Nestlé is bottling water from at least ten natural springs throughout California, including from some of the most drought-stricken areas of the state, and selling it for profit. In places like Sacramento, it’s paying less than $0.14 per gallon. This is bananas.Sign the petition to Nestlé: stop taking water from drought-stricken areas.
Oh look something that’s actually FOCUSING ON THE FUCKING PROBLEM rather than telling me to check for leaks in my faucet.
btw nestle isn’t the only company wasting water during the drought

Spoonies, let’s get on this!
did some further requisite research, found their website and discussion of the medicine bottle project, it sounds here like they’ve had a fantastic response already but will ‘probably never get enough’ so keep sending them! i know i’m really thrilled to find this– there are few things i hate more than chucking 4 empty medicine bottles a month when they could have further use. and here’s an option!

Ok Dr. Phil’s wife, Robin, (yes groan, but listen up) has this new app out (iPhone and Android) that’s for people in abusive relationships. It’s called Aspire News and it’s disguised as a regular news app, but when you go to the “Help” section of the app, it leads you to domestic violence resources and also has a “Go Button” that when you press it, if you’re in a compromising situation, alerts local authorities as well as local shelters and starts recording everything that is going on.
Now, if you’re looking up resources on the app and your abuser is near, simply press the X button and it brings you to a random news page. Same goes for the actual foundation site.
ITS COMPLETELY FREE
