Maybe not so much food or language I meant that more as examples of culture in general. But yeah there are things that are distinct to certain groups that others steal
Culture is meant to be shared. Almost every custom any culture has was probably “stolen” from a culture before it. So what?
I traced the Kimono back so far once I hit ancient Mesopotamia. There is nothing (or at least very little) new under the sun as it relates to culture. It’s been shared, adapted, reworked, and re fashioned for the entirety of human existence. Dial any idea, dance, clothing, hairstyle, language, food, ritual, or anything else you can think of enough and you’ll see that someone “appropriated” it or elements of it from some other culture.
Folks that whine about appropriation just want something to cry about in lieu of either facing real problems or having real problems and that’s the long and the short of it.
