play an ancients paladin and in my first ever session our party was ambushed by
a group of orc bandits. We managed to fight most of them off but there was one
left standing. I took it as a sign that it was my time. “Excuse me good orc,
have you heard of our lord and savior Silvanus?” Needless to say the DM refused
to give me advantage. I rolled it and it was a nat20. The half-orc man became
very repentant and joined our party.
