so with ectopic pregnancies where carrying to term can be deadly for mom and baby, and EXTREMELY painful, would you support someone who had an abortion?
This ask kind of let’s me know you have no idea what you’re talking about right from the start.
Ectopic pregnancies ate NOT carried to term. Babies cannot survive ectopic pregnancies because they don’t grow in the uterus. Women usually have to have salpingectomies to remove the living, but soon to die, foetus and save themselves.
The procedure usually isn’t called an abortion-it’s removal of the fallopian tubes where the baby usually grows.But yes it ends in the baby dying- but the primary objective is not to kill the baby it’s to dave the mother.
No sure what happens when the baby grows elsewhere in the abdomen, but it’s not the same procedure as an abortion (can’t go through the vagina to get it- I’d have to look into it)
Getting an ectopic pregnancy removed kills a human foetus and is incredibly sad, often people who have ectopic pregnancies actually WANT that baby. And are mourning their loss.
Don’t compare women getting literally life saving, 100% necessary medical procedures to women getting abortions because they aren’t ready to be mothers. It’s sickening and no pro lifers I know believe women should be forced to die along with their children in an ectopic pregnancies.
Anyway as I said, ectopic pregnancies aren’t “painful to carry to term” they’re impossible to carry to term. But they’re incredibly sad, it’s heartbreaking that the baby will die no matter what you do, but it’s good that their is a way mothers can live.
Ectopic pregnancies being terminated/removed /aborted is in no way comparable to any other aborion so don’t even try.
Answered this so many freaking times oh my gosh. I’m bored of repeating myself. -Gabbie
Just want to add;
Saying women “choose abortion” when they have ectopic pregnancies is like saying cancer patients “choose chemotherapy” or people who break their legs “choose” to go to hospital and get a cast.
They need it or they’ll die.
People say to me that denying women abortion becathey had sex is like denying a victim of a car accident treatment because they were driving. But pregnancy isn’t a disease! Pregnancy is NOT a disease!
Some people say abortion (not for medically necessary purposes) is just the same; but pregnancy is not a disease. And doesn’t need medical intervention. Ectopic pregnancies are different.
Ectopic pregnancies are a pathology, so medical treatment makes sense. And is necessary.
Just putting that out there.
