A post dedicated to my mom’s art. I’m more and more convinced she is surrounded by jealous assholes because none of her friends and people in her life are able to say anything nice about her work. Most that visit tend to ignore it, and one even said she didn’t have any talent.
It’s ok not to get someone’s work, or feeling it is not your thing, but it gives you no right to be an asshole.
Also I think my mom is also a great example of someone who can paint realism, but doesn’t find it satisfying to work that way, art for her is an emotional outlet, a meditative process. One style is not better than the other.
Tell her I said he work is lovely.
