Last week I got asked about my favorite anime and manga of all time (here), so I’m going to answer this in a different way. What are the things, right now, that I feel like I get the most excited about when a new chapter comes out

• One-Punch Man – everyone already knows this one 
• Ao no Flag – highschool romance/slice of life with a lot of lgbt+ themes/characters 
• Futari Monologue – tall scary looking girl in love with her tiny shy childhood friend 
• Saotome Girl, Hitakakusu – manga about a local highschool girls’ boxing champion and her short boyfriend who supports her 

• Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? – story about a girl who becomes a spider and has to survive fighting other monsters in a giant dungeon 

Bonus mentions to Teppu and Angel Densetsu, my two favorite manga of all time that I still hold a lot of passion and love for. It’s interesting because Angel Densetsu is about a terrifying looking boy who everyone thinks is a horrific delinquent who actually just wants everyone to be nice and get along, while Teppu is about a girl who is just plain old a big asshole who gets obsessed with beating the crap out of a new girl at school in an MMA match. They’re practically total opposites but I love them both so much. 

And final bonus point for Overlord. I read it back in January and I gotta say I’m a serious sucker for high fantasy stuff set in a medieval world that is told from the perspective of a group of monsters. I’m actually considering getting a Funimation subscription for a month or two so that I can watch the anime for it.
