now this…. this is POC solidarity

Why is this so universal though??

like was this a trend when our grannies were young?

this and rice is what unites us all and i feel we should build all solidarity movements on these 2 things

My nana did this shit all the time! Portuguese grandmas do it too!

The funniest (funny as in irony to these posters) thing is, white moms and grandmas do this too. So…where is some POC solidarity in this if seemingly everyone’s moms and grandmas do it? Same with the butter container containing usually always something else other than butter, like everyone does that. Same with the using loaf bread as a hotdog bun. My family did all these things too.

It’s just a moment of …??? ??? ???????? ? ?????? ?? ???????

And there’s supposed to be somehow non-white racial solidarity over this? Um ok. It just feels like someone went “hey only we do this” then other people start showing they’ve done it too, then it’s like “ok POC solidarity for sure!” but like what’s the point when yeah white people do it too…other than what seems like assuming you know what other people (namely white people) do but clearly don’t know as much as you assert?

Being innovative and using what food you have left to substitute it for food you don’t have left, and being innovative and using a container for a purpose other than it was supposed to be used for, omg this is so unique, yeah not really.

I’m not really bitching, just genuinely confused at this and why it should be some monumental solidarity pinnacle when it kinda isn’t at all.

We have a box in a 3D class at my art school. So instead of sewing supplies, it’s tools for wire and sculpture and stuff. Even worse, one day I was SO hungry, only to realize there WERE NO COOKIES!!1!! SERIOUSLY PEOPLE! Stop this crap! DX
