Trying my hand at photomanipulation, which is harder than it seems. I went with a fairly basic creature based on a Public Domain image of a dog to start off with.

This is the Axehandle Hound, one of the “Fearsome Critters” of North American folklore. A local of Minnesota and Wisconsin, the Axehandle Hound is a nocturnal canine with a head shaped like the blade of an axe and who feeds exclusively on axe-handles that have been discarded at campsites.
