Well-Armed Activists Openly Defy Texas Law to Feed the Homeless – Hundreds Clothed and Fed
friendly-neighborhood-patriarch:
GOOD
“Last December, the Dallas city council enacted Ordinance No. 29595, which makes it illegal to serve food to the homeless without jumping through a statist myriad of bureaucratic hoops, including a fee, training classes, and written notices.
One should not need to file multiple forms and pay a fee to obtain a permit to give food to those in need who are willingly ready to accept it. The folks at Don’t Comply know this.”
That’s the most Texan thing I’ve ever read.
Haha decent
liberals hate private charity .
Because it’s far more effective than government bureacracy.
Government making it harder to feed the homeless, but if you don’t support giving them more money and power to “take care of the needy” you hate the poor for some reason. It’s not about helping it’s about getting a cut…or getting the whole thing when they decide to reallocate those resources somewhere else…like to campaign contributors.
Yet still the statists will cry but the regulations are necessary or people wont know what to do and might accidentally sever an artery when they meant to hand someone a sandwich. Reminds me of how the benevolent housing standards lead to another local government seizing and banning mini shelters that a kind citizen took the time and money to build for local homeless people. Leaving people with nothing in tears because they took the only thing they had that gave them any sense of ownership and security. I’m from the government and I’m here to help really is a bone chilling sentence.
I literally just said, “Praise the Lord!” after reading that title. Thank God that there’s still SOME justice in the world!
