Okay, let’s accept for the sake of the argument that this child is, in fact, a girl. Cool. But they’re still a child. Cis girls are generally not allowed, let alone encouraged, to wear make-up or dress like that until we’re well into our teens. The fact that this mother apparently thinks that it’s appropriate to enhance the “woman-ness” of her eight (?) year old child for everyone to see tells me everything I need to know.
If I heard a kid tried to mutilate their genitals at age 3, I’d assume they were either dumb – like kids are – or a sexual abuse victim.
This whole thing strongly suggests the latter to me.
all the idiot parents that willingly subject their kids to reassignment as CHILDREN literally rob them of adolescence. their body cannot physically mature and they will have lifelong issues.
and the kicker is you know what probably made the mum decide her son was a girl? he probably wore a dress a few times (because he’s an inquisitive child) and she went right, you’re a girl now.
i work in childcare. we have little boys who like trying on the dressup dresses, yes, even the pink ones, but they are still boys. they also like trains and spider-man. they’re too young to know what the hell a gender even IS, let alone DECIDE IT.
When we came home, my mum often told me to put her heels away while she started dinner. So I usually put them on – they were way too big – and tottered into her bedroom.
I also snuck my sister’s lipstick on once, just to see what it was like.
