I thought I’d try my hand at redesigning. Behold the monarchy of Kingsland from Super 4! I tried to keep their original designs in the new one. I liked the idea of including vaguely Renaissance based elements in them.

A pirate design I wanted to try. His name is Sharpbeard and he’s based off of a Vampire Squid. He’s also a fan character I designed for Super 4. I’ve really been obsessed with it recently for some reason.
(He’s my version of Sharkbeard’s dad, possibly.)

Another piece, this time based off of Sleeping Beauty. I forgot how many layers I used in this project! Somewhere around 175 or more. The theme for this piece was obviously using various pictures of fruit, vegetables and others to create an overall image. I pity the poor fool/s who sat down to use the pen tool on EVERY. SINGLE. LEAF AND STALK.
This is an old college project of mine from last year. It’s a surreal piece based off of Beauty and the Beast, but the roles are reversed! It was challenging, but a cool challenge to try out. 🙂 Jean Cocteau’s La Belle et La Bete was an inspiration during the process. I enjoyed seeing it.
More Super 4! This time the villains! Although I really wouldn’t call
Dr. X an outright villain. Narcissistic and selfish yes, but not
intentionally malevolent like the others. If anything, the Fairy Queen
is certainly closer to one. She’s vindictive and petty– flinging around
spells at simple disagreements. Even when Twinkle fixed the supposedly
irreversible curse, she still tried to punish her. The only
difference between her and the witches is a brighter color palette. I
really think Gardenia would make a great name for her though.
Also,
I LOVE the witches outfits! I find that they look more distinct and
unique compared to the fairies. I’m even happier knowing the two other
witches technically had names in an episode (Turnips and Old Lace)!
P.S. Why does Fourchesac have such pretty eyes?!
